What To Expect At Discover Chiropractic

At Discover Chiropractic, you will receive the highest level of care and diligence. We know how uncomfortable you can feel not knowing what to expect, so it is our goal to ease that apprehension and make you feel at home.

Chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each treatment building on top of the previous one similar to laying bricks down for a house–so we feel that it’s very important that we build a strong long lasting relationship.  For this reason, we believe that it is best to be up front and explain as much as we can in advance so there no surprises.

First Visit

You will find that you are greeted by name with a friendly smile when you come to our office.  If you want to expedite your visit, please download the appropriate new patient forms and complete them before your appointment. If you would rather do that on your first visit, that’s fine too!

After your initial paperwork, you will  meet the doctor and our assistants.  This consultation will give you a chance to be heard and tell your story so that we can get a clear understanding of what you need help with.  You will get a chance to discuss your specific health goals with the doctor to see if chiropractic care is right for you.  If the doctor believes you could benefit from care, you will then receive a thorough examination that will help identify what is causing your problem.

The doctor will evaluate your examination findings and make the best recommendations in order for you to achieve your goals and keep you healthy.

Since each patient is different, it is difficult to determine how long your appointment will take.  With most of our patients, it can take about 60 minutes for the first visit. If you have had any recent special imaging taken (such as X-rays), please bring these along to your appointment.

Regular Visits

Your typical visit to our office is not like your first one.  Your first visit requires more time since we are just getting to know each other.  Your following visits will be much quicker, and may only require 5-10 minutes in our office.  This does not mean that less time means that you are less important!  The doctor will always spend as much time that is needed with you on each visit.  However with the baselines we have established on your first visit, we can quickly evaluate what your spine and nervous system need in order to adjust you and let you get on with your day without interruption.

Much like how lifting weights requires consistency to make improvements and maintain them, each visit builds on the previous visits.  Therefore if you miss a visit, it can be very easy to lose the momentum to make the corrections you need.

We are a family friendly office and love to see your kids, too!  Feel free to bring them with you.  Our staff will help keep an eye on them while you get adjusted so that you don’t have to get a baby sitter each time you come in.

We know how valuable your time is to you, so we will do everything we can to run on time so you do not spend all of your time waiting in the lobby for us.

Temporary Relief

One of the most common reasons patients seek help with us is simply because they need relief.  This is exactly why we start here.  During the first stage of your care, it is our goal to find out what is causing your problem, provide you with a plan to get you the fastest results possible, give you opportunities to help yourself in your healing process such as exercises and diet recommendations, and help you to maintain your health after you have started to feel better.

Corrective Care

We have a dream that our patients can be as healthy as they can be so every one of us can lead a happy and fulfilling life.  We hope that we express the importance of ongoing chiropractic care.  Unlike many forms of treatment you may be used to, chiropractic care is not a event that happens once like having your appendix surgically removed.  To receive the wide array of benefits chiropractic care has to offer, ongoing care is necessary to maintain health.  This is similar to keeping your lawn healthy by mowing it and taking care of the weeds on a regular basis.  It is our goal to teach our patients the importance getting away from sick care, where people wait until they have symptoms to take care of their health.  We strive to bring awareness on actual preventative care and how much more beneficial it is.

No matter what your goals are, we only serve to provide you with the tools necessary.  The decisions are ultimately up to you, and it is your choice on how much of the health benefits you want.  If this sounds like what you need, call our office to make an appointment today!
